Two selected lines, one for selection of body weight based upon in. breeding values (line 1) and another for breast weight based on between family selections (line 2) were randomly selected from a base population. In each generation, 39 sire and 78 dam-birds were taken as parents in each line and for the next generation. The number of selected replacements in line 2 was less due to decreasing population size. Data were collected over 2 consecutive hatches for 4 generations and selections responses determined for 3 generations. The levels of improvement of 4-week body weights in line 1 were recorded 14.4, 12.6 and 8.1 grams respectively for the 3 generations. Correlated response to breast weight in line 1 was 4.1, 3.6, and 3.2 grams in generations 2, 3, and 4, respectively. Directed selection from 4-week breast weight in line 2 led to improvements of: 4.0, 3.5 and 2.7 grams in generations 2, 3 and 4, respectively. Also, correlated responses for body weight in this line were recorded as: 14.5, 13.0 and 7.4 grams in generations 2, 3 and 4, respectively. There were significant differences in body weight and carcass traits between sexes and also in generations 2 and upward (P<0.01) but not for percentage components of carcass. Higher figures were obtained for femals than for males. Selection for 4-week body weights in line 1 and 4-week breast weights in line 2 improved Feed Conversion Ratios (FCR) for about 0.16 and 0.19 units over the selected periods, respectively. Genetic and phenotypic correlations between body and breast weights in line 1 were 0.90±0.12 and 0.73±0.06 and for line 2 they were: 0.85±0.06 and 0.82±0.02, respectively. Results obtained from this study do not support the in-between family selection as a tool to increase breast weight selection as based on body weight, due to its high genetic correlation with body weight (0.85-0.90), can be employed as a proper selection criterion for improving carcass traits, including breast weight.}, keywords = {Breast weight,Carcass traits,Genetic correlations,Japanese quail,Selection responses}, title_fa = {بررسی اثر انتخاب انفرادی و خانوادگی بر افزایش وزن بدن و سینه در بلدرچین ژاپنی}, abstract_fa = {این مطالعه به منظور بررسی اثر انتخاب کوتاه مدت بر صفات مرتبط با رشد شامل وزن بدن و وزن سینه در سن 4 هفتگی در بلدرچین ژاپنی انجام شد. برای این منظور یک لاین بر اساس ارزشهای اصلاحی برای وزن بدن (لاین 1) و لاین دیگر بر اساس میانگین رکوردهای خانوادگی برای وزن سینه (لاین 2) به طور تصادفی از یک جمعیت پایه انتخاب شدند. در لاین 1 در هر نسل 39 پرنده نر و 78 پرنده ماده به عنوان جایگزین استفاده شد. تعداد جایگزین های انتخابی در لاین 2 به دلیل کوچک شدن اندازه جمعیت کمتر بود. رکوردها طی دو هچ متوالی جمع آوری و پاسخهای انتخاب برای 3 نسل محاسبه شدند. مقدار افزایش وزن بدن در سن 4 هفتگی در لاین 1 در نسل 2 ، 3 و 4 به ترتیب برابر 4/14، 6/12 و 1/8 گرم بود. پاسخهای همبسته برای وزن سینه 4 هفتگی در این لاین در نسل 2 ، 3 و 4 به ترتیب برابر 1/4، 6/3 و 2/3 گرم بود. در لاین 2 انتخاب مستقیم برای وزن سینه منجر به بهبودی معادل 0/4، 5/3 و 7/2 گرم به ترتیب برای نسل 2، 3 و 4 شد. پاسخهای همبسته برای وزن بدن در این لاین به ترتیب برابر 5/14، 0/13 و 4/7 گرم برای نسل 2، 3 و 4 بود. تفاوت معنی داری برای وزن بدن و وزن لاشه بین دو جنس و نسل 2 به بعد وجود داشت (P<0.01) ولی این تفاوت برای مؤلفه های درصدی لاشه معنی دار نبود. پرنده های ماده اوزان بیشتری از پرنده های نر داشتند. انتخاب لاین ها برای وزن بدن و سینه در سن 4 هفتگی ضریب تبدیل غذایی را به ترتیب 16/0 و 19/0 واحد طی دوره انتخاب بهبود داد. همبستگی های ژنتیکی و فنوتیپی بین وزن بدن و سینه در لاین 1 به ترتیب برابر 12/0±90/0 و 06/0±73/0 و در لاین 2 به ترتیب برابر 06/0±85/0 و 02/0±82/0 بود. نتایج حاصل از این آزمایش انتخاب بین خانوادگی را برای افزایش وزن سینه پیشنهاد نمی کند، زیرا پاسخ همبسته حاصل برای وزن سینه، ناشی از انتخاب بر اساس وزن بدن بیشتر از انتخاب مستقیم بین خانوادگی (2/30 در مقابل 0/28 درصد) و همچنین رکوردگیری آن آسان و هزینه های اصلاحی کمتر است، لذا انتخاب بر اساس وزن بدن به دلیل همبستگی ژنتیکی زیاد با وزن سینه (90/0-85/0)، می-تواند به عنوان یک معیار انتخاب برای بهبود صفات لاشه استفاده شود.}, keywords_fa = {بلدرچین ژاپنی,پاسخ به انتخاب,صفات لاشه,همبستگی ژنتیکی,وزن سینه}, url = {https://ijas.ut.ac.ir/article_30274.html}, eprint = {https://ijas.ut.ac.ir/article_30274_2844f210d9846abec549190c80a73973.pdf} }
